Books and dreams are the bridge between intimate and collective experiences. In my series of artist books, I recreate the imagery of dreams in multimedia formats. These books are meant to represent the controlled chaos of the human subconscious. Psychoanalyst Carl Jung came up with many dream theories and believed that dreams were full of imagery and symbolism that were meant to tell humans important things going on with their psyche. Using my own dreams, I have made individual books that explore different themes and archetypes through fun and surreal imagery. The format of the books encourages the viewer to intimately interact with the object by opening and flipping through them. The audience can connect with the stories and create their own relatable interpretations of the symbolism and become the main character of each dreamscape through this one-on-one experience.
